American actor who made his film debut in 1945 and who appeared primarely in horror or thriller movies : Gorilla at large (1954), 6 Donne per l’Assassino / Blood and Black Lace (Mario Bava – 1964), Nightmare in Wax (1969), Frankenstein Island (1981) etc.
He was Italy’s and Mario Bava’s favorite Viking in the 1960s and of course he was ‘uncle Buck’ in The High Chaparral (tv 1967 – 1971).
