MICHAEL RIPPER (1913-2000) signed the back of 8″ x 10″ still from The Mummy’s Shroud (Hammer – 1966) in blue fountain pen ink.
Mr Ripper appeared in The revenge of Frankenstein (Hammer – 1958) , The mummy (1959) , Dracula has risen from the grave (1968) and MANY other Hammer movies.
Michael Ripper appeared in more (33) Hammer films than Peter Cushing (23) or Christopher Lee (22) !!!
This still comes from Mr. Ripper’s personal collection. On the back he wrote : ‘Mr Longbarrow in “The Mummy’s Shroud” 1966./ 20th Century Release / Billing. First after title. / MICHAEL RIPPER.
